The
Fallbrook Outlaws Gunfighter and Stunt group, members in good standing of
the American Federation of Old West Re-enactors and the Single Action Shooting
Society, was established in 1994 by a former Mayor of Fallbrook
and her husband who were involved with the "Temecula
Gunfighters." Seeing how they resided in Fallbrook, they decided to
start a group of Old West re-enactors in their own territory.
The very first public performance of the Fallbrook Outlaws was at the Fallbrook Avocado Festival in 1994. They have been a local favorite amongst the people of the "Friendly Village" of Fallbrook ever since. The Outlaws went on to become California State Champions in 1999. They have placed first at "Calico Days" in October 2001 and in 2002 at the Calico Ghost Town, near Barstow. They have also placed first at the Dance Under the Stars in Lakeside, "Old West Days" in Temecula, "Winchester Widows Chili cook-off and Skit Competition" as well as many other placings at various Western events throughout California. Members of the group have also been recognized and awarded individually for their costumes and acting abilities.
